Hi Reader,
There's something particularly cheerful about a box of craft supplies arriving at your door, especially when everything you need to start creating is already inside and wrapped in pretty tissue paper.
My July Paper Pumpkin box arrived recently, and while the projects are ready to make exactly as designed, I'm always curious to see what else I can create with all those pieces. Further down I'll show you some of the alternative projects from our first few Australian kits, along with a timely offer for anyone who's been thinking about subscribing.
I've also got a quick update on the Stampin' Hot Foil System, which sold out almost as fast as it landed.
But first, your July tutorial. It started with a surprisingly bold colour challenge and became something much softer.

Colouring on Designer Series Paper
This month's tutorial came out of a creative challenge to use five colours in one project: Cajun Craze, Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.
Side by side in cardstock, those five colours are bold. The Birthday Wishes card takes them somewhere much softer.
The technique is colouring the black-and-white Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper (167752) with Blender Pens (102845), picking the ink up straight from the Classic Stampin' Pads.
If you've never tried Blender Pens on patterned paper, this is a lovely first project. The sketched images do the hard work, and you just add the colour.

Happy mail in a box, with even more ways to create
Paper Pumpkin is a monthly all-inclusive craft kit delivered to your door, complete with stamps, ink and projects ready to make. It’s a wonderfully easy way to enjoy some creative time without having to plan the project or gather the supplies first.
But the projects shown in the kit are only the beginning.
My subscribers have access to my Paper Pumpkin Alternatives Library, where each month my collaboration partners and I create additional projects and step-by-step tutorials to help you get more from your kit contents.
I've also put together a new guide featuring alternative cards and projects from the first few Australian Paper Pumpkin kits. It's a lovely way to see what's been arriving each month, and just how far the contents can go.
If Paper Pumpkin has been on your mind, this is a particularly good time to try it. New subscribers receive 25% off their first kit when they subscribe by 10 August.

The Stampin' Hot Foil line launched in Australia earlier this month and sold out within a week. There has certainly been plenty of excitement about it!
More stock of the Hot Foil System is expected in early September. It uses the latest hot foil technology and design, so if you’re thinking about buying a machine, at least you won't have to wait too long.
If you already have a hot foil machine, you’ll be pleased to know that we now have a wide range of hot foil dies, along with foil in silver, gold and light pink.
In the meantime, if you've seen the foil projects popping up online and would like to understand how the system works, what you need to use it, and how hot foiling differs from heat embossing, I've covered it all in my guide.
